Where's your fave spot for to beat the cold in Feb /March?

Our spot that we return to for a week or two is Cozumel. Decent diving, easy access, relatively inexpensive, and you can easily get by with just English. We typically go elsewhere for February after doing our obligatory "get wet with scuba gear" trip to Coz in January. It is our only real repeat destination.

Florida Keys is our destination every Jan. We started with a week in Key West about 10-12 years ago and have been returning to the keys every year since. I like a couple days in Key West but too much a party to spend much more. We enjoy the solitude and quiet of upper and middle keys. Fishing, snorkeling, I did a 1 day scuba adventure with training in the morning and a dive in the afternoon. Then there is the weather and lack of big resort developments reminds me of the 60's.
Last year it got into the 50s at night and there was a warning about iguanas falling from trees. Seems they nest or sleep in trees and when it gets cold they hibernate and are known to fall out of the trees. Just hilarious.

Family has been wintering in Fort Lauderdale since the 1950s. We still love it there despite a lot of changes. It's becoming North Miami in many ways, both positive and negative.

No "deals" to speak of, but there never were. Great restaurants however and not as "grey" as other Florida areas.

We discovered the USVI's about 6 years ago. Have settled on St Croix as our favorite. We go for 2 weeks over President's day and Valentine's day. We VRBO or AIRBNB. Rent a jeep. I SCUBA and DW will snorkel. No deals per se but much cheaper than HI. It breaks up our fairly mild So MD winter. When we return in late February, I roll right into umpiring baseball. Usually have a scrimmage or 2 the last week of February.

We pick a different spot every year. Last year was Puerto Vallarta. This year will be an extended stay in Mazatlan.

We've never been to San Diego and I want to try that out when we retire. It isn't really warm by the typical standard, but nicer than the PNW.

The Phoenix area. Used to have a Scottsdale snowbird condo - now staying with friends and airbnbs.

We once had our patio door open for the entire month of March. 24/7. Beautiful weather in az in March.

We have done five winters in Thailand/SE Asia/Australia. One winter travelling independently through Mexico-mostly Yucatan and then up the Pacific coast from Huatulco. One is South America, two or three in Costa Rica/Panama. Usually 8-10 weeks.

Our favorites are Thailand and Australia. We typically combine them. Four or five weeks in each. Issue is the long flights.

My spouse was not keen on Thailand. First year we retired I saw a last minute bargain fare to Bangkok. She reluctantly agreed to go. Now....it is her first choice of snowbird trip.

We were in Mexico this past November. We prefer the Zihuatanejo and Puerto Vallarta areas to Yucatan area.

We usually take a western Caribbean cruise in March and spend 3 or 4 weeks in April/May diving in Bonaire. Last year we did two cruises back to back in March before hitting Bonaire for 4 weeks in April/May.

This year no March Cruise as we just did one in Nov and again in Dec so we will go diving in Bonaire Mar 1 through April 4. Get back to Atlanta just in time for spring. This will be our 18th year there.

Been going down the Keys 3-4x a year for over 20 years. Like many other places it's getting very crowded. Certainly not a laid back atmosphere anymore.

Naples FL. We play pickleball and/or ride our bikes in the morning and spend afternoons at the pool.

We bought a place in La Quinta Ca at the end of 2010 and have been doing about 6 months here and 6 in Oregon since. We run back to the beautiful PNW during the summer for the great weather and green, avoiding the screaming heat of the La Quinta sun, then back from the threatening omnipresent grey skies of the Willamette valley to the bright blue skies of the La Quinta desert (watered and tended like a movie set) at the end of October.

We visit Key West and enjoy it, but we always stay at the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada.

We have been staying at different spots from Key Largo to a week at Trumble Point KW, a Navy facility and a week or 2 at Marathon Coast Guard to save a buck or two on hotel prices. Then we spend a week or so at different keys. Duck Key a couple years ago was real nice.

At my snowbird place on east coast of Florida. I'm right by Cape Canaveral, so watching rocket launches and enjoying the warmer weather.
