Horrible journalism, no wonder all the newspapers are going broke:

Quote:
The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views Canada's health care system as revolting: with its government-run administration and 'death-panel'-like rationing. Clearly, however, she and her family once found it more alluring than, at the very least, the coverage available in rural Alaska. Up to the age of six, Palin lived in a remote town near the closest Canadian city, Whitehorse.
What can we deduce from this? From birth to age 6, Palin lived in a REMOTE town near Canada. Probably the nearest hospital WAS in Canada. Plus, she was 0-6 years old, how much input did she have in her health care decisions?

This is tabloid journalism as its finest........

What some people might not know is that in the 60's Canadian and US health care systems were very similar.

It's something about Sarah Palin. The scribblers on both sides of the aisle are drawn to her like a moth to a flame. They can't resist covering her, and the results are typically laughable. This one at the OP is especially egregious.

These articles on her amaze me. There has got to be more important things to discuss. In the Cleveland paper an article by Connie Schultz, married to Washington official, tried to imply Palin lied because she once recalled a trip to Juneau on the ferry for her brothers' in jury and this time she said he went to Whitehorse in Canada. Palin's father recalls two trips Schultz later writes. Schultz then implies only later that the first trip to Juneau was for the original injury and then to Whitehorse later when an infection occurred.

In Cleveland,k the bigger story should be 17 public schools are closing and it will cost $73 million to close them while the district already has a $51 million shortfall. 15 of the closing schools are elemenary schools because there are no longer children in Cleveland, other than those acting like kids.

I wouldn't call the Huffington Post "journalism" . . . but then again, I wouldn't call Fox News "journalism" either.

If that's the case, then the mainstream media isn't journalism either..........

I'm sorry but someone who practices tabloid journalism herself(e.g. the 'death panels') can't legitimately complain when she gets treated in the same way. I'm not in favor of tabloid journalism of any type but that should include politicians as well as journalists.

With "Sarah Palin" and "Health Care" in the title, I predict a quick death for this thread.

As this thread has moved beyond health care and into discussing political media, this thread is closed.
