Contacts on iPhone and iPad not synced

Hoping someone will share the solution to my minor problem.

I have both iPad and iPhone. Most data can be accessed from either as I store in the cloud. Messages and notes are same on both. However, I was checking my iPad and contacts are not same as on the iPhone. Looking at settings My iPhone has a setting (settings, then contacts) for default account which is set to yahoo, and the iPad doesn’t Appear to have that setting.

Anyone know how to sync the 2 devices ? Thanks

You have to specifically enable this in your cloud settings for each device. Look under settings.

Hmmmm is right!

My devices and my computers sync. I don’t have it turned on for everything, but I do for contacts, calendars, messages, mail, and a few others.

I just had Hotmail stop syncing on my computer and phone....had to delete account on phone then re-build it. Android didn't like Hotmail security settings. On computer, I had to enable logging for errors in my email client application. For some reason that opened up the pipe and things started flowing again.

I don't know what caused it but I'm suspecting the Hotmail server changed somehow as my email clients are not the same (Android for phone and eml for laptop).

If you do an internet search, syncing stopping is a common issue and there are many solutions. The different vendors sometimes don't integrate well with each other and platform chsnges sometimes don't smoothly update.
