I used cases with P&S cameras years ago while scuba diving and they worked well but were cumbersome. There are some good looking cameras that are waterproof up to 30 meters that I am considering.

Id recommend a Sony Rx100. Great small camera. Built in zoom lens. Crisp stills and video
