I hope this isn't just in Canada. Alex Rider on Amazon Prime by Amazon Prime. Really good and entertaining.

(Also?) Available on IMDB TV -- which I don't believe has a subscription fee.

If your looking for a funny, lighthearted type of movie, check out Never kiss a Guy in an Ugly Christmas Sweater.
I know, not the best of names, but we really enjoyed it.

The Queen’s Gambit is on my list to check out. Looking forward to it even more now.

I tried it on a rec from here, I believe and almost couldn't get through the first episode. The mother and her screaming was so annoying and another "rich people lose their money" plot didn't seem to promising. But I'm glad I stuck with it as it got much better. I like that they're only 30 minute episodes too, perfect when I want to kill a little time. The mother is still annoying, and yes I realize that's how the role is written.

The latest season of The Crown. I like it much better than the original.

+++ on The Crown. Wow, what secrets revealed! I'm going to watch Iron Lady with Meryl Streep and compare The Crowns Thatcher. I think Gillian Anderson is too thin.

I'm only one episode in but I thought her Thatcher was odd. Far too stiff, and felt like she was playing her older than she was. She was 54 when she became PM, she was 1 year older than the Queen but in the portrayal of their first meeting she comes off far older.

I'll watch it again, but Streep's portrayal is winning so far.

Last night we finished TURN on Netflix, very well done and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of backstories to our revolution.

+1 This series is like a roller coaster from the first minute. Intelligent and fast moving. The characters are intense.

Just finished "The Minions of Midas" on Netflix. I'm glad this was a limited series. I jumped ahead after 3 episodes to the last episode. Interesting ending but not worth watching all of it.

Netflix’s "We Are the Champions" has returned and I'm hooked. The series covers strange competitive sports and events and is quirky diversion. Just watched the Cheese Rolling competition episode... odd - very odd.

Anybody watch the pilot of "Big Sky"? I tried it and almost gave up halfway through as it seemed really formulaic. I stuck it out and then...surprise!

Spoilers below....
