We too loved Poldark. If you like Poldark you would probably like Outlander on Starz. Outlander is historical fiction set in the UK (with a little time travel thrown in). The star of Outlander is a hunky guy like Poldark. Be prepared if you watch Outlander there is some nudity and sex scenes.

- The Good Cop
- Life in Pieces
- The Crew
- Sons of Anarchy
- Corner Gas
- Good Girls
- The Keenan Show
- Black Summer
- Iron Fist
Thanks for the heads up on the last Doc Martin season, we love that show and we will be on the outlook for it. If you wife loves Doc Martin she also might like the BBC show Call the Midwife which is also in its 10th season and is shown in the U.S. on PBS. We like Call the Midwife just as much as Doc Martin.

I started Dickensian on Amazon Prime. I've only seen the first episode but it looks good to me.

Love that show reminiscent of Justified with it's off the wall banter.

Sort of like there was some violence in Pulp Fiction.

But Outlander is excellent. I liked Poldark, but Outlander blows it away (IMHO).

We’re enjoying Shetland on Prime. It’s another good British detective series, not too violent, set in a stunning part of the world most of us will never see. They also have scenes, so far, in Glasgow and in Bergen, Norway.

I want to see Nomadland, where is it available? I read the book and it was very enlightening (and sad) about how many people have to live.

We watched it last evening - got it from our local Red Box - 60 cents with coupon - we are indeed all blessed

It is available for free as part of any HULU subscription. But be warned not to watch it -- you will want to buy an RV and hit the road.

Cool. I'll be sure to watch it with DW.

One of our favorites. Some of us Americans might need closed captioning at times.

Bonus!

I don’t subscribe to Starz, though.

+1 we enjoyed that one and most of the British detective series. We've watched a whole bunch of them.

I discovered this a couple of years ago, and loved it. You've just reminded me to check to see if there is a new season. I sure hope so. Series' in these types of settings, with these types of characters and storylines, are few and far between.

Incidentally, I'm English, and the captioning helped me out too. Some of the regional UK accents are a bit problematic for many of us Brits too!
