This is a Bluetooth keyboard. The OPís TV would need to have Bluetooth for it to work. And even then Iím not really sure if it would. Some TVs implement Bluetooth with very limited functionality. It may or may not accept input from a keyboard. My guess is if the OPís TV is a low end TV, it will not work.

Based on the extremely limited information provided (not even model number of the TV) it's doubtful anyone will have better info.

One reason I like my Fire Stick is that it works with an app on the phone such that I can do the typing there quite easily. I have a Samsung Smart TV which is not as reliable as the Fire Stick. There are times when an app is wedged and I have to pull the plug on the TV to reboot it. There's no reboot option.

It would help to know what the OP is searching for and what user interface they are interacting with. If it’s just the built in smart TV software that would require a different solution than if they wanted to go with a USB based device like a Fire Stick, which could be paired to an app to interact with the phone or tablet keyboard.

I agree, for my Rokus I often use the Roku phone app to type in information rather than the on-screen "keyboard", which I hate. I used to have a few WebTV IR keyboards, and those worked pretty well with most devices, especially my TiVo and ReplayTV DVRs. This was before smart TVs, so I can't say for sure they'd work, but it might be worth a try if you can find one for under $10 or $20 on eBay or some other site.

Now I need to go see if I can dig mine out!

The one I had was this model, or very close to it: https://www.amazon.com/RCA-WKB10WB1-.../dp/B00005T3TP

Don't have the model # handy. Less than 6 months old. Using to log on and search on YouTube, prime video HULU , etc. Backlit keyboard would be the cats meow. Will check model , it's at the other house right now.
