The disadvantage to fast food places not opening for indoor dining is that you cannot go the bathroom there--in some areas the only decent public bathroom is at McDonalds.

Another reason it’s to fast food chains advantage to avoid allowing the public in, they don’t have to maintain or supply bathrooms for the public, lower costs. I’m sure employees don’t miss cleaning up after the public. Again, I don’t know why any of them would be in any hurry to reopen indoors to the public when most people were doing drive thru/carry out before, and almost anyone can adapt to do so. Why add costs and increase SARS2 risks for what I’m guessing is a very small increase in top/bottom line?
