Poll: Have You Had A Covid Vaccine?

Just curious how far along this “elderly” crowd is so far?

I had my second Moderna vaccine last Fri. A very sore arm both times, but no other side effects thankfully.

I'm under 65 with no conditions that would move me up the list so I am not expecting to get my vaccine until well into May or later. Half of my 65+ family has gotten theirs and the other half are on the list but still haven't gotten their first shot.

Poll: Have You Had A Covid Vaccine?

DW had both Pfizer shots in January. I had Moderna with 2nd shot mid February. We did not have side effects. Most of our extended family are also vaccinated. We are 65 & older.

Looks like we have a way to go to achieve herd immunity.

DW and I got our 2nd Moderna shot two weeks ago. I'm 72, she's 68. Our teacher DD gets her 2nd shot tomorrow.

DW and I (70's) got our 2nd Moderna shot 24 hours ago. It was 5 weeks after the first dose, delayed a week due to the TX storm.

We both have sore arms and, based on how I felt taking the dog for a walk this morning, I'm feeling slightly fatigued. No other symptoms so far.

I'm under 65 and I received my 2 Moderna shots. On the first shot I felt afterwards arm pain and fatigue for a day. After the second shot, I felt fatigue, low grade fever arm pain constant headaches afterwards for 23 hours. I spent it all in bed except to eat and use the bathroom.

Midpack, you'll soon need another poll option: Yes, completed my single dose (J&J) vaccine.

DW volunteered yesterday and got hers at the end of the day, first day of volunteering. They had 100 "leftover" and gave them to the volunteers. The program is technically after 15 hrs of helping them, you can get one.

I'm doing a shift on Tuesday...

We're in early - mid 50's, no conditions. She got the Pfizer...no symptoms next day so far.

I thought of that, but it hasn’t been made available yet as I understand it.

I understand the wording of the poll, but I had to read it twice because ...

anxious: worry, unease, or nervousness, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

It's a crap shoot for Long Covid patients. Some have reported significant improvements, most have not. The PCP's are blindly pushing us to get them, some specialists are not so sure. I only leave the house to go to medical appointments, so I'm taking a wait and see approach.

I'm under 65 but post heart attack so I suppose that qualifies as the "condition". Where I am however it's impossible to schedule anything - qualified or not.

On one had I'm anxious but on the other: 1) I'm hardly exposed to other people (except for grocery shopping), 2) I think that once the vaccine floodgates open it'll be like with covid testing or flu shots: you can get them anytime anywhere, 3) the world won't care that I'm vaccinated and won't reopen all the borders for me and travel is the only thing I really care about (besides not dying from covid but that's obvious).

Scheduled to ship next week.

From the WSJ yesterday:

Quote:
J&J said it has begun shipping the vaccine to the U.S. government, which is managing allocation and distribution. That indicates first doses could be administered during the coming week.

Nope. I'm too young, too healthy, non-essential.

I'm waiting for when vaccines are plentiful and as easy as just walking over to my local pharmacy. Hope the wait isn't too long.

In the meantime, I really don't mind living like a hermit at home .
