In re: low level of abstraction.
It is a splendid line. Loved it when I saw it, and used many many times since. Simplifies life and arguments. I will always give you credit for that one.

Yep. What is baffling to me ...is that some think it is so easy to get to that income level...or a certain net worth level...when it often is not. Add to that...that keeping it...is hard work ...just like getting it. Sacrifices and hard work and LBYM are often made and performed along the way. Don't want to underscore..that it very well may be easier for some than others. However...the tone...of blasting the successful or lucky people is downright irritating.

Ha Ha: I haven´t forgotten you- The thing is that no real known Spanish crime writer comes to mind. That´s one of the reasons why it´s decades since I´ve read a novel in Spanish.
