Antartic Cruise-Luggage room?

For those that have been on an Antarctic Cruise on one of the expedition ships (200 passengers or less), where do you store your luggage? How much room is there in those small cabins? DW and I are trying to figure out how big, small luggage to take with us and would appreciate some insight. Thank you.

And read the itinerary details carefully. You are limited in baggage and carry-ons. Some tour companies will require you to leave excess weight baggage at your departure point if it does not meet their standards.

Probably a good idea. We just did an Antarctica trip last month, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. Actually, it was much more interesting than expected!

Always best to have soft luggage that can be flattened or rolled up and tucked away.
