Its asking for name etc.
Is it only going to plug in the data I already know from my yearly Statement, and make the same ass-umption that I'm going to keep working to FRA?

I want to plug in my own numbers, and future "zero"

I wish the official Statement would provide numbers for retiring at every age from 60 up.

Can't you just try it and see?

I thought you could enter zero for future income at the SSA site?

If your needs are more complex, are you looking for something like this?:

https://ssa.tools

I haven't used it but it looks slick, apparently written by the guy from thefinancebuff

yea that's it. Why nothing ever findable from a govt website page or search engine?

They ask "Enter the age in years and months at which you plan to stop working."
BUT I think they mean "the age at which you plan to claim benefits."

Too bad there is no way to save your data as a tab-delimited file or something, and upload it the next time you want to run the calc.

And their stupid formatting does not allow you to Copy & Paste, because the contents of the entry fields won't copy !!!

The Statement with wages thru 2018, which presumes earning 2018 amounts until (chosen) age 70, is 98.7% of the calculated amount with zero income from 2019 thru age 70 in 8/2026.

Seems like working another 4 2/3 years should yield more increase.

In the Plan for Retirement Table, you can enter Average Future Annual Salary

SSA has a downloadable calculator that you can use to change all kinds of variables, including your future income. You'll have to manually input your prior earnings, but then you can save the data file and update it as needed.

Not acceptable for the govt to withold something of value from Mac users.

Okay - I haven't read this whole thread (just the latest posts), but I have a question about SS for which I don't want to open a new thread. I officially retired in Feb. 2020 at 62 and some months and plan to stay retired - not planning on additional work. However, this year I saw an unexpected drop in the SS estimates on my statement. I of course already have 35+ years logged for SS, and I thought that now that I'm retired the estimates would be stable. Do they assume that you'll keep working and replace your lower earning years until you draw? It seems a bit weird to me. I'm hoping I don't keep seeing lower estimates every year until I claim.
