Well, five years ago today I walked out of the office never to return.

I just want to say thanks to everyone on the forum for the inspiration and guidance in the years leading up to my FIRE and for the ongoing help with my questions about caring for aging parents and signing up for Medicare.

Gee.... we're neighbors and both are at about 16 years of FIRE. I made 16 years with zero earned income (and no spousal earned income either) on June 6th. Must have been something in the water!

we had a little bit of W2 income from our "keep busy" jobs...school crossing guards...for about 10-yrs but we've been completely and happily unemployed since. congratulations!
