Here are some stats on the Military. People speculate about the reason for the numbers. I think it is related to low income people getting an opportunity and education.

Chinaco, that was a fascinating study that you linked from this closed thread.

I'm curious-- Is PRB a political and/or mercenary organization? How'd you find the study? Where can I find more studies like it? I'm particularly interested in:
- the military's divorce rate, especially broken down by service and warfare community,
- the military's retirement rate broken down by service & warfare community, and
- the gender % of military children, especially the urban legend that submariners tend to sire girls (70/30).

Some of this data (divorce, parenthood, retirees) is already in the article and I'm hoping not to have to chew through each of its references...

Let me open up my questions to the rest of the board, too. Anyone else have a data source?

I do not know much about the organization. I was doing some searches for military stats.

They are a public charity that compiles and disseminates information... not sure if there is a political or religious affiliation.
