Well the S*** has hit the fan, the guy who replaced one of the people that worked for me quit after 32 years, and another important person with 21 years experience transferred out of the department. So I told them I would work 3 days a week, but this will be for an extended period, some months I suspect. They will have to hire from the outside then this person will need extensive training.
I did 10 hours yesterday and 8.5 today, my legs hurt, no doubt after sitting and watching CNBC for the past 1.5 years or so. As I said before I don't mind it much, don't have to contend with, customers, meetings, people, production, suppliers, data analysis, or the ever present global matrix.
To put work in context, one day of work will pay for a month of my bowling, drinking and eating after bowling, and smokes. This also will help to bridge cash flow until I am 62 and can collect SS in August.
As I type I am having a well deserved VO Manhatten up, with Cherry.
