Hi everyone! I joined this site not long ago and figured I would say hi. I'm still a long way off from retirement having just turned 42 and planning on retiring around age 60. I feel like I am in good shape to meet that goal, even after starting all over with retirement saving in my early 30's after some foolish financial decisions in my 20's. My wife and I live well below our means - our expenses are 50% of my salary. She works from home making handmade purses & bags. We are paying extra on the mortgage and will have that paid off in 10 years. No other debt.

We'll retire to my wife's home country of Taiwan, where most living expenses are lower and healthcare is provided by the government. Housing is much more expensive so I do expect a small mortgage over there even after selling our house here. I have calculated that SS will cover nearly 100% of our expenses there, plus I will have a small pension payment from my 10-year employment at my previous company. I am saving over 20% of my salary so we can hopefully live quite comfortably (barring any major USD devaluation). I'll keep raising my saving level as I get salary increases.

I don't have any questions at this time. I'll keep reading all the great info here.

-Tim
