I will always say VIG and SCHD. They don't have huge yield, but they hold
high quality companies with history of increasing yield.

As one great investor said:

It's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.

The above are collections of such companies. But quality comes at price....

We use a combination of Vanguard Dividend Growth and High Dividend Yield Index funds in Roth accts. However in the interest of full disclosure the bulk of our funds are in 401k's Rollover IRA's which consist mainly of total mkt index funds and plan on using a total return approach to withdraw funds
