    Social Security at 62 with minor children

    Not sure if the rules have changed, but in 2005 when I FIREd (at 62) I recieved 75% and my son got 50% of full share. Came to around $1200 for me and $800 for the boy. When he reaches 18 I guess I'll have to have another one to replace the lost income! Abby
