Dr. Anthony Fauci - US Person of the Year

According to the Wikipedia bio on Fauci, he hasn’t practiced medicine in a clinical environment since 1968 (having to deal with patients.) His career forte appears to be experimental work in mostly lab environments, followed by administrative. He uses “anecdotal” in a useless pedantic sense. In...

    Your 2020 prediction for SP500

I voted for a loss worse than 20% because so many stock valuation metrics are already high relative to past values. I felt that made it vulnerable to significant events portending bad economic repercussions. I'm not sure if the killing of Qassem Soleimani is the start of a series of such events...

Looking back @ 2019 Bear Market

Oh for pity sake W2R, would you please stop posting so quickly that you have to go back and edit your posts moments later? On your re-write you now say something about political agendas. I have no idea what that refers to. I’m outa this thread, you’ve made it personal and with you as a...

Looking back @ 2019 Bear Market

It was technically a bear market. The article is proof that some felt it could take a while to recover. That it was over so quickly that it is now difficult to remember was actually one of the OP’s points. I did not freak out at all (there being to evidence of such) and am simply trying to...

Looking back @ 2019 Bear Market

They say memory is the first thing to go when we get old, I forget the second thing. Anyway, here’s a news article from that distant era as a refresher: We are now in a bear market — here’s what that means

Looking back @ 2019 Bear Market

I think the error was writing 2019 when the OP meant late 2018.

Did Anyone Travel the US for a Few Months after Retiring?

Seriously though, staying at hotels and traveling using one’s own car gives maximum flexibility when confronted with a plurality of possibilities, as you seem to want to do.

Did Anyone Travel the US for a Few Months after Retiring?

How? In a Corvette convertible of course. And don’t forget to play the right music while tooling down the road (notice where they stash their bags):

    Sexual Frequency Poll !!!!

Well, on another forum I frequent where one of the female members has stated she suffers arachnophobia, the subject of intimacy came up and one wit posted this:

    Dow over 28,000!

Check again - their systems were likely in the middle of handling the drop in price by the amount of dividend distributions that are bring paid out. Eventually you should see those funds with a flag indicating notes on distributions.

Reverse Searching for Telephone numbers useless now...

Earlier this year the FCC threatened phone companies to adopt a caller ID authentication technology known as STIR/SHAKEN. A few domestic holdouts are taking their time. Not sure how things will work with regard to international calls.
