Social security and wife's income Just social security and my wife pays for groceries out of her income as a massage therapist.

When I've gotten statements from social security administration they list my income for every year that I've worked. So, the more you make, the more you get. You can go to their website and get a report of your earnings and how much you will get for retirement.
