    Social Security (House) Proposal

SS minimal age to collect is 62. It was 65 until the late 1950's then lowered to 62 for woman only ......and not lowered for men until early 1960's. I think it's time to raise it to 63.

This is my first time "experimenting" with MA and TFL. So far, with at least 6 occupational therapy sessions this year, I have not rec'd any bills. No action yet on my part. I'm hoping that at least 90% of future claims....go thru smoothly with me having to do nothing. I will re-evaluate my MA...

    Sleeping in…a retirement luxury

I don't get the big hatred on alarms clocks. Go to bed at a decent, regular hour. Being in the Navy for 20 years, try sleeping for two hours, then going on watch for 4 hrs...back to bed for an hour or 2..then work a full day (obviously this was not everyday). IMO, those who "don't use alarms...

Signing up for Medicare is a Frustrating and Expensive Process!?

I recommend watching youtube videos on Medigap vs. Advantage plans. If you spend 20 uninterrupted minutes 2x a week, studying about Medicare in general, (Youtube, facebook group, whatever) you will be well versed in 2 months. OTOH, if you are totally unfamiliar, with how health insurance works...

Foolish to delay pension one year?

Is it 2100 today and 2272 a year from now? Because that's exactly a $172 difference.

Foolish to delay pension one year?

I throw out some silly numbers. If your monthly pension (before waiting the year) is $2000 or less....I would wait the year out. If it's $3000 or more a month today....take the pension now. btwn 2000 and 3000, I'm not smart enough to make a decision, but I'm leaning to taking it today.
