For the record, I don't even use dryer sheets. I have been a chemist in a second career for around 20 years after working 10 years as an archaeologist. While I enjoyed my first career, chemistry was a choice made to get me the stability and regular paychecks that could help me get to FI. I have worked in a variety of dysfunctional corporate workplaces over the years and have been planning financial independence since around the age of 50.
