It’s time to change the clocks once again

I vote for staying on Standard time year round. No clocking changing twice a year and thus the elimination of DST. I would rather have a little more daylight early in the day during the winter months. Seems to work out well in AZ.

    cancelled SS and 2020 taxes

We have been working with SS to obtain a corrected 1099. There were errors on both of our forms including total benefit amount for the year along with withholding and Medicare payment errors(all under reported). I called a few times and finally ordered a corrected 1099. They took information...

    March 9, 2009

My last day of employment was 2/26/2009 - pretty darn close to the bottom of the market. I was not worried at all knowing my 401K/IRA was heavily invested in equities and that I did not need the money at the time. Fast forward to 2018 and I still have yet to touch my IRA and it has tripled...

    Where for reasonable returns

"You aren't kidding about "considerable risk." This mix would be 50% junk." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over a long term (10-15 years) withdrawal plan, I would consider this mix to be part(maybe 20%) of a strategic plan to encompass a total...

can i do this or is it just refinancing?

In today's world, you can go and ask them to recast your loan at a lower rate and hopefully without any costs to you. My credit union is now offering a "streamline" home equity loan to pay off a mortgage at a much reduced interest rate. There are some qualifiers but it is a no-cost...

thanks for the responses on my original query. Now I wonder which is the correct amount. 2.36% or 3.1%?

    SS Cola Apply to non-recipents?

For those of us NOT taking SS at 62 - how does the recent SS Cola increase affect us down the road? In other words, will we see an increase in our expected payout when we access the SS web site next year? I plan on taking SS at age 64 (in two years) and am wondering if this announcement will...
