    Digital photos and videos

After our longer trips, DW has created books (from places like Shutterfly). It doesn't help the task of editing and sorting the photos, but they are in a "shareable" form. We also have a digital picture frame. It is pretty easy to every so often upload a bunch of photos to the frame via...

    People saying funny (awkward) things

IIRC, Bill Engvall does the "Here's Your Sign" bit. Jeff Foxworthy is "You Might be a Redneck."

Should I Stay With Marketplace Health Insurance or try to enroll in Medicaid?

My experiences are from Massachusetts. YMMV. 1. If you are eligible for Medicaid (in MA), you are not given the opportunity to purchase health care off the exchange. 2. We were on Medicaid for a while when ACA websites first went on-line (it's a long story why and how this happened). I found...

How often do people tell you that you are too young to retire?

I've gotten "You're too young to retire" a couple of times. Once, I responded with "Oh, how old do you have to be?" He said, "Hmmm. I guess you're right!" -- Wayne.

Will Brick and Mortar Stores Die Out?

Playing devil's advocate here ... Perhaps they lost the paper on which they jotted your information? Perhaps they got a phone digit wrong? Not every slight in life has malice behind it. --- Wayne.

How to Profit from Time Travel to Future?

I presume you will have other difficulties to overcome regarding identity with that much of a gap in her history. The beneficiary of the trust generally isn't the person who set the trust up. In fact, the beneficiary can be someone who is not yet born (e.g., grandchildren). She sets up the...

How to Profit from Time Travel to Future?

How about a trust? She would have to set up the trustee "chain" so that there was always someone to manage the trust through the years and it'd still be there on the "other side." -- Wayne.

    Is handwriting/longhand dying off

A couple of years ago, I showed up to the medical lab to have blood drawn for some routine tests. As luck would have it, roadwork in front of the building severed the fiber-optic cables and the lab computers were disconnected from the network. Most of the folks who came in were sent away...

    New England

We have lived in MA for more than 30 years now and very much appreciate all New England has to offer. The COL was factored into our retirement plans and so we should not be forced to move in order to maintain our budget. So far, we have spent a lot of our time, since retirement, seeing many of...

    Change order or correction?

If the contractors created their proposals and contracts based upon a design where this would not be a problem and you have changed the design, it is a "change order" and if there is a change to the costs for the contractors, you should pay for it.

ACA wasn't supposed to have this happen

Besides not being able to tell the difference between a policy purchased through the exchange and one acquired elsewhere, I think there is another oddity here. As far as I am aware, one was only able to begin signing up to purchase health insurance through an exchange on October 1st. The...
