For most of my career, I worked in IT as a Unix sysadmin. About six years ago, I noticed our retirement funds were growing nicely, and the idea of retirement started taking form. After running numbers and conferring with our financial advisor, we escaped the rat race in 2015. Herself was 55 and I was 58.
