I have escaped (or been evicted from) Corporate America a number of times, but have yet to make it stick. Some aggressive moves with my investments have put me in a pretty decent position to retire early... but that would count on returns of between 5 and 10% on my current retirement and taxable accounts. I manage my own finances, but recently put all of my retirement money with USAA in hopes that their 'wealth management' services would provide some valuable advice at no charge. The jury is still out on that one.

I live with my "spousal equivalent". Tara and I manage the bulk of our finances separately and we have a joint account for household expenses as well as social expenses for our activities together.

I am obsessive about my finances... looking to be more effective in my planning.
