    Best Country to Retire To

It's fun traveling outside the US but wouldn't live anywhere else. Family, friends, culture. Have lived in WI, OK, IN, OR, WA, and TX. We have friends in CO, ID, AZ, CT, MT. Also lots of time in MI, NM and NC. Could live in any of those states. USA for us!

Your Experience on a HOA Board

There's a lot of personality disorders out there. If you are a leader for any group, they will take up most of your time and energy.

Your Experience on a HOA Board

What I learned in two stints on two different HOA boards: 1) You have to be the one who is extremely assertive about sticking to the CC&Rs, bylaws and architectural guidelines. Don't rely on someone else playing that role. It's no fun to be "that guy". You can be kind, but firm and...

    VG robotic advisor

"You just blew my mind!" Kramer Personally, we're all in VG Target Retirement Income. They rebalance. We don't look. Seems to work out.

It's not just simple math for some. Investing is math + behavior. Rebalancing introduces potential behavioral missteps. Automatic rebalancing removes that potential problem.

    Alarm clock issues...

We have no bedside alarm clocks. One of the best perks about retirement. The natural waking process is so much better. iPhone for those few occasions we need to get up at a certain time.
