Total Solar Eclipse April 8, 2024

It looks like I’m less than 1 mile from the blue center line, but well within the orange lines. Close enough? Or should I walk to be dead center?

Be Careful Inserting your CC. Wild story!

I wish I could just let things like this go as others have suggested. But I would be asking for a meeting with the store manager & employee to discuss the details of the report they filed. While reviewing the security footage.

    Bicycle Safety PSA

Just to make sure, I’m gonna hot glue a layer of Cheetos to my helmet. OP, glad you’re ok.

what do you spend on hobbies, in retirement?

Look at it this way: you are not really spending that money, you are just parking it there. It has value should you ever chose to sell it, & if you could find good used equipment, you might be able to retain value without depreciation. If not, it still has resale value unlike expensive vacations...

Poll:Do You Have PPF On Any Of Your Cars?

Seems like it used to be common courtesy to at least write it out the 1st time, the use the acronym after that. Not so much anymore. Luckily I’m familiar with PPF, but many of the others frustrate me. That said, I have a ZL1 that has a couple problem spots protected .

Did you continue to read what you linked? “ While the association of nitrate with cured meats causes some to worry about their cancer-causing effects, other studies show that the nitrates found in vegetables may actually help reduce the risk of cancer. Studies suggest that eating foods rich in...

Are we getting soaked on shower quotes?

Soon it will be. This is a relatively new phenomenon. $100/hour sounds fair. This is not what people are complaining about.

Are we getting soaked on shower quotes?

I’m sorry but I have to agree with QS. Those costs are incurred by most businesses, yet seem to be profitable at less than 1/2 that rate. While it is a somewhat skilled trade, it doesn’t require both workers to have extensive experience. Your auto repair shop has all those items as overhead...

How much should I spend on retirement house

I look at the house itself as more of an investment. You’re not spending the money away, you’re just investing it elsewhere. The big question for me would be how much the tax bill would increase. That is spent money. 700k in my area would have a significant tax burden.

    Leaf Guard Success

Don’t think I agree with your painters. My first house (30+ years ago) was an ugly faded yellow aluminum sided fixer-upper. I went to my local Benjamin Moore dealer & asked if I could paint it. He recommended a particular paint & my wife picked out the colors, & I painted the siding, soffits &...

    cabin air filters

The other elephant in the room is that a dirty filter actually filters BETTER. The larger pores in a filter naturally clog first and the smaller pores to do a better job filtering. Notice all the dirt is on the outside of the filter. Why is that a problem? So the real answer is the filter does...
