    Alternative to the Rut We call them Halfbacks in NC. People who move to Florida, find the heat oppressive and miss the 4 season. Move to NC as a compromise between the deep south and midwest.

    Quicken

    With Quicken 2004, how do you download your transactions? I keep upgrading,though I don't want the additional features. All I want is to keep the several year history for comparisons and the automatic download. Is there another way to keep the data and downloads without upgrading?

    We find the long spring, summer and fall seasons on Lake Norman, NC very attractive. Charlotte, while maybe not as culturally sophisticated as SF is clean, modern and affordable.

    My advice is investigate health insurance as much as you can now. COBRA will take you to Obamacare but there is a big wild card for future planning.

    Hi, I retired from full time in 2009 and am currently 59, wife 58. No pension, on our own for health insurance, and so far handling the everything with a about a 3.5% withdrawal rate. Cobra gives out 4/30/13 and finding out how expensive individual health insurance is. Are there any groups...
