This thread brings to mind a niggling annoying tendency of mine to wonder exactly how I compare to the population frequenting this site. Indicating some insecurity I realize. Judging by the numerous passive-bragging posts in the "introductions" forum, with $5M+ nesteggs, giant pensions...

Until recently my workplace at a large company was a sea of cubicles. But they were pretty nice; 10 x 10 feet with privacy (tall walls) and autonomy; I filled mine with my photos (big hobby). And the overall layout was good in terms of team collaboration ... but we all had our own sacred...

Another data point; we are very happy with our Fidelity adviser. He works on salary which depends partly on our rating of his services. He's great and I consider him a friend.

December, working half time, is the remainder of my corporate working life. Ten more working days, then pull the plug! Anxious and happy at the same time. Nest egg hit 2.99 megabucks. No pension, but big social security, and an insanely appreciating Seattle house. Wish us luck!! :greetings10:
