Is there a way to see what SS tax you paid every year on the ssa.gov website.

Something else you might find useful is the SS Retirement Benefit calculator, AnyPIA. When I was planning for retirement the calculator would list the values of the adjusted earnings that are used for the calculation. https://www.ssa.gov/oact/anypia/anypia.html When I used it, you had to hand...

Is there a way to see what SS tax you paid every year on the ssa.gov website.

I don't know of a source of the taxes paid but the earnings used for calculation of the taxes for SS and Medicare were on the yearly statement as a list by year. I assume they still are. The tax rates since inception of SS are at: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/progdata/taxRates.html So, if no one...

What is the last thing you ordered from Amazon?

I have one of those. Now where did I put it? I got it to punch holes in a leather shoe when the Velcro fastener went bad.

    Just hit #7

Inverse or not, wouldn't that imply a three-body, not collision, but, maybe, sliming?

GEHA unable to provide status of claim

Right now (Tues, 04/16/24, 11:20AM Pacific), I can only get the error message when I try to get EOBs - "We are currently experiencing issues viewing EOBs, please try again later." I tried from my last bill to the middle of last year. None would do other than slowly finally give that error. I can...

GEHA unable to provide status of claim

Yep, looks like you have become part of a new class. I am curious as to why this is taking so long and if the doctors, pharmacies, and hospitals are souring to insurance under this latest and widest threat. So far, they seem to have had no problems processing the premium input.

    Paying estimated tax using eftps

Chose 1040 in the drop-down box. The next page lists the various 1040s, the first of which is the Estimated 1040ES one. (But read the list and make sure it is still listed first.)

Assisted Living facility trying to force my Mom onto pricey 'medication management'

I wish I had ideas. The charge is excessively excessive. My husband was in an upscale assisted living facility. He had Parkinson's which means he needed med delivery several times a day for the Parkinson's med and twice a day for his other meds. The charge window says these additional ones were...

$500,000 per couple primary residence exclusion and inflation

We bought our house in 2011 for $225K and the county auditor says it now is valued at $643K. My two years after spouse death will be up in July this year. I will probably keep living in the house and just eat the taxes if I need to sell in the future. I've heard that this state has pretty hefty...

Options for guaranteed income if you’re delaying Social Security until FRA

I delayed collecting SS until age 70 but retired at age 62. I had an old TIAA/CREF account from one of my first jobs which had grown sufficiently such that moving it all to TIAA and opting for a 10-year payout annuity produced, after tax, about the same amount my SS would have paid had I started...
