timid investor

long story but Plan was to reduce my work stress to part time and start trading as a professional (tax status) in the new year . Worked 7 days a week for the last 3 months doing my job and another's who was then on maternity leave. Was rewarded by being replaced mid december put on prn status(not eligible for unemployment benefits) and zero work after maternity leave ended for other worker.
So I find myself a little more dependent upon my new business than I wanted . The backstabbing described above has become par for the course so I'm unapologetically moving forward with my plans. I have 10 years of investing and futures trading experience behind me so I plan to devote my time to that which has better long term prospects.
