Dr. Suggested a Statin - I Said No Thanks

Exercise does not always do the trick, I road bike 4k miles a year and when I can't ride I walk 5-6 miles. My HDL has never been over 41 and averages in the high 30s.

What's up with this "we charge you an extra 3% if you use a credit card" bit?

along with "automated order processing into the kitchen", if he adds electricity then his cc fees are 20% /sarcasm Even if he didn't take cc's he would still (probably) be paying for the order processing system, an unrelated fee that I'm sure some companies roll together with cc fees for the...

Don't know what a fintech is, but sounds bad

Very little, never kept much money in any of them. Would put through an occasional direct deposit, grab the bonus and transfer the money out. Cash App (in the early days) would offer $7.5 if you spent $50 at wal-mart (grab a gift card for a future purchase) on a regular basis. Another paid us...

The safe-deposit box era is ending

We have a small local bank that still offers SDBs. I store a portable hard-drive as my offsite backup of our computers. Much cheaper than the online alternative. I swap it about every 2-3 months.

    Modeling Social Security 2033 Insolvency

If you have a high net worth (not sure where that cutoff will be), expect cuts, but for most it will be nothing. There will be a compromise of higher taxes, another bend point, higher income limits, tweaking COLA, and possibly raising the age to 68 or 69 for full benefits.

Will this be the last DST change?

Because where I live people don’t want sunrise at 4 something in the morning during summer (standard time year round) or sunrise at 915 during winter for those on the western edge of eastern time zone. Changing the time zone boundaries would help, but that will never happen.
