Potential Problem With Our April Trip to Greece

We spent 4 days on Naxos and could have stayed longer! But we are also beautiful beach loving people. We rented a car and went to Eggares, an old olive oil press/museum, went to the temple/museum Demeter, drove through gorgeous old villages where men are still riding donkeys, ate at taverns that...

    Montana road trip

Livingston is a cute little town where we stayed. From there, it is a beautiful drive south through Paradise Valley to the north entrance of Yellowstone NP in Gardiner. We also did a fun rafting trip on the Yellowstone right there in Gardiner. On an early spring visit we did the sled dog rides...

What was your happiest moment today?

Yes you do need to attach new photo and the rules are pretty stringent. We are members and live close to AAA office, so had them take photos for free. I then just scanned the photos and uploaded with application. All was accepted just fine.

We had lunch at the old hotel on Crater Lake, a beautiful deck with views of the crater. I always marvel at the lobby fireplaces in these old lodges.

    Greece in May

Our trip was for 2 weeks, and we spent 4 days in Nafplio... it was glorious! It was September, and we took day trips from there to Tolo beach, the theater at Epidaurus, and just meandered that beautiful town with the fortress above. Took a sunset boat ride to see the city with fort above and it...

Are Older People Aware of Their Cognitive Decline?

My 85 year old mother is struggling to complete sentences when we are just having small talk and conversing. But if she is relaxed on her sofa, she can clearly recite a whole story about something that happened in 1950. My sense is that she would deny any cognitive decline. She is giving up on...

My parents did the Chesapeake cruise on that line. Leaves Baltimore and goes as far south as Yorktown/Williamsburg with stops in St Michaels and Annapolis. They enjoyed it! It was funny to us that our Mom said, 'There were a lot of old people!'...she is mid 80's.

    Amish country restaurant recommendations

Shady Maple is the one everyone talks about and recommends! Lots of the smorgasbords changed after Covid. There is a little Amish grocer in Strasburg, where the railroad is located. We enjoy driving the back roads of southern Lancaster county and buying produce from their stands. Reminder to...
