Last movie you saw and what you thought...

Finally got around to watching Deadpool and Wolverine. It was okay, but really no need to make another. I did laugh numerous times, but it was not as good as the first one.

    Your hardest earned dollars?

In high school I helped my step-father with mobile home maintenance. Rooftop swamp coolers to clean out and get ready for the summer. We also used five gallon buckets of a petroleum product to paint foam roofs. I always thought that there was asbestos in the liquid, but that may be a false...

    Sacroiliac Injection

An unimportant update :) The sessions with the deep tissue physical therapists has helped immensely. They really went after the piriformis and glutes. Also one painful moment on the QL, quadratus lumborum (up the spine near the ribcage) and the psoas in front. They gave me some simple...

    Need Crown For Tooth

Too many ice cubes and popcorn kernels abused my teeth through the years. In 2015 I had a tooth crack and the nerve died and it was miserable. I decided to have it pulled and not replaced and I have been fine with out it. Two years later I got my first crown. My dentist was a good friend and...

I'm curious as to what kind and size of monitor you use with you Mac Mini?

    Sacroiliac Injection

Thanks for your reply. The spine doctor (PA) had suggested deep tissue manual PT in addition to the referral for the injection. I've been to the massage twice now. While incredibly painful and I hate to jinx myself, but I think it is helping. I have ten more sessions and will then decide...

    Sacroiliac Injection

I was searching the site for cortisone and found this thread from last year again. Did you have the steroid injection in your SIJ? Did it help? I ask because after an MRI and doctors visits they feel that I have a hypermobile joint. I have an injection referral, but have yet to make the...

    Backache medicine

I have a different back issue (lumbar curvature causing sacroiliac joint pain, probably pelvic tilt). I've dealt with this for decades. Ice many times a day is my go to. Daily exercises given to me by PT, plus others from internet. I use an electric hand massager vs percussion gun as it is...

    Blow that Dough 2024

Last September we bought a new CRV Hybrid which I primarily drive. Two weeks ago my dear wife bought a 2024 Subaru CrossTrek that she really likes. Enough BTD for awhile. Oh wait we also picked up a new TempurPedic for ourselves with adjustable base and a queen set for the guest room to...

    Golf Talk Tuesdays - 2021

I watched for a bit and saw Nellie's par three trouble. What a very difficult course set up. I hope that she can battle back today.

Who has no scheduled commitments in retirement?

The only scheduled appointment that I don't mind are tee times. Anything else seems to annoy me. My DW's daughter suggested that we could volunteer when we retired. Thanks, but No Thanks. My free time is invaluable.

Anyone have a "walking pad" as opposed to a treadmill?

For $275 I bought a TIMETOOK under desk treadmill last August off of Amazon. Basically a small treadmill that I bought to walk on during the winter. I would use it two or three times a week. With good weather and golf it is now gathering dust. The price was right and so far have had no...

What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

Vera is great. What else we have been watching the past few years . . . Shetland (another by Ann Cleeves as is Vera). Really good. Quite the place to live. Lewis is also very good on BritBox Endeavour (Masterpiece or Prime) Part of the Endeavor, Inspector Morse, Lewis universe. Annika...

Wow - complete disregard for decedent

Why did an 'ethical' attorney write a new will for someone with Alzheimers? My mother who was diagnosed with dementia had a 25 year old will and we suggested having it updated as one of my sisters last name had changed and the other was an address change. There were two minor items that no...

    Anyone still using Quicken 2014?

2016 here. I was less then happy when they went to a subscription model. I use it for a fancy check register and could move, but just stubborn.

Take SS earlier if I'll have large RMDs?

Those born in 1959 will start RMDs at 73, not 75. The Secure Act provision relative to when the RMD age goes to 75 was ambiguous, but Congress issued the following letter agreeing to make technical corrections to Secure 2.0 Act. The result of these corrections will clarify that for those born in...

Update on Cord Cutting (Cable TV) - 2021 version

Just cut off Sparklight cable. Last bill including internet was $261. When shutting off there was no push back and the agent on the phone said that Oh By The Way there is a cheaper internet with unlimited data for $55. Same speed as what I had been paying $15 more dollars for. So anyway...

    Hip pain only at night

I don't recall if this was mentioned, but sometimes knee, hip, back issues originate from the feet. My flat feet and walking around barefoot did not help. Orthotics purchased last year are helping.

    Golf Talk Tuesdays - 2021

I received the S62 as a gift when it first came out. I have liked it a lot. I imagine that you would enjoy the S70. I have not had any issues with the sensor and wear it from morning to night.
