Started a consulting job today. Got a call last week from an area city mgr about problems on a city street project. Met with all parties this morning and I'll be looking after the next concrete pavement pour to help work out problems. Oh well, a little spending money for whiskey and cigars.

My week is 3 days long, Yersterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Big day for me, checked with the bank and my first retirement check was there. I was paid to stay home the month of November. Gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Left on Oct 1st. Time to go and I'm just eligble this month. Been in construction for 30 years and my knowledge and nohow is not wanted. also started school at 4 years old and have been making my way since I was 13. Time to step out and enjoy life. 7 days and counting.

I consider today my First Day of retirement. I have to go in on Oct. 1st but I'm off till then. Had coffee while setting outside watching everyone going to work, enjoyed it. Had breakfast,walked,puttered on internet, napped and worked in the yard pm. Walked again after supper and now waiting on...

Going 10/31. My last day will be Oct 1st as I have time to use up. Only working tomorrow and sept 28th this month. Its an odd feeling, I will need time to get all this out of my head.
