Restaurant adding fee for use of credit card

Well, it finally happened. I was at my dermatologist today and they said 3% charge for credit cards or you can use a debit card. They had not told me in advance before I came to the office but I keep a debit card in my wallet that's linked to a checking account that has less than $500 in it for...

Restaurant adding fee for use of credit card

Not the person you asked but I've known a few restaurant owners and they always told me they preferred cash for this reason.

Restaurant adding fee for use of credit card

As someone who once managed a retail store for a large well-know chain, handling cash is a big deal. It requires two people to count it, when the person with a gun comes in they go for the cash (not the credit card payments), and it tends to disappear (credit cards don't, they are "captured" by...

If that happened to me, I'd just say, "Send me a bill then and I'll send you a check." Make them wait for it.

Long Wait Time to get Appointment with Dermatologist

I see my dermatologist every six months as I have had basal cell carcinoma in the past. Last year, in between visits, I got bump on my neck that I thought was a boil at first. When it didn't go away I called the dermatology office and they said they could get me in in two weeks to see the...

Why are older Americans drinking so much

It wouldn't surprise me if some of those in this thread signalling their virtue proclaiming how little they drink and how much they dislike alcoholic beverages are not as "dry" as they would like others to believe.

    TMobile internet

They only will sell it at addresses where they have excess capacity. The home internet actually had bottom level prioritization (below even MVNOs on the T-Mobile network) but in an area with enough capacity, it is rarely necessary to deprioritize anyone.

    Sildenafil 50mg for Pulmonary Hypertension

Sounds good but I'd worry the the "getting rich" on the part of the companies is already baked into the price of their stock. If for some reason (political or otherwise) they start getting less "rich" those who bought the stock will take a hit.

Curious thing about April's Social Security Direct Deposit

I read (can't recall where) that it is sent to arrive on Monday at all the banks. Some choose to make it available early and some "hide" it and earn a bit on the cash for two days. I imagine the amount of that float is huge at a bank like Chase (where I send mine; they don't show it until Wed...

    Kindle fans?

You probably tried this but in case you didn't: Did you reboot your router? A few years ago I had that problem with a tablet. Even did a factory reset and it didn't resolve it. All of my other devices were working fine so I didn't suspect the router. I finally rebooted the router and the...

When my Apple friends start sending messages I'd rather ignore for a while they have no idea whether or not I even saw their message so they don't know that I am ignoring them for the moment. That reminded me of something I heard on the old Johnny Carson show: Someone hits a parked car gets out and starts writing on a piece of paper, "I just hit your car. There is a big crowd gathered around and everyone thinks I am leaving my name and address on this note ... but I'm not."
