    Considering Aquablation procedure

I had Aquablation a year ago. Look up my thread “Aquablation for BPH “. I chose Aquablation because it was the only resective procedure I was aware of that had no permanent side effects. I’m very happy with the results.

    BPH Options

I had the Aquablation surgery three months ago today. Everything went well. I chose Aquablation because of their claim of NO permanent side effects. In my case this was true. I am VERY happy with the results. The only downside was the long recovery time. On their website they have testimonials...

    Aquablation for BPH

My Aquablation is over and done with! I had surgery on Thursday. On Friday I wasn’t able to adequately empty my bladder so they sent me home with a catheter. I went to the doctor’s office this morning and had the catheter removed. I was able to pass the bladder ultrasound test so I don’t have...

    Aquablation for BPH

I had the cystoscopy today. Was able to see damage to the bladder and how much the prostate is squeezing the urethra. Doctor is going to schedule surgery after Medicare approval. Should be the first part of January.

    Aquablation for BPH

I had an appointment yesterday with an Aquablation surgeon. I actually had to switch to a urologist in Louisville since my provider in Nashville doesn’t do Aquablation. The new doctor said his criteria for choosing between TURP and Aquablation was prostate size and shape. Larger prostates get...

    Aquablation for BPH

Thanks for the replies. I had TUMT twelve years ago. Unfortunately it didn’t help much. I’ve reached the point where I need to do something as I am having frequent UTI’s. I’m planning on making an appointment with my urologist this month to discuss. I’ve read that Aquablation is now covered by...

    Are You A Christmas Scrooge?

I don't decorate the house. I haven't even put up a tree in twenty years. The wife and I don't have children so we don't buy many gifts. My wife has family out of state so she goes there for Christmas. I don't have any family other than wife so I stay at home and take care of the animals. I'm...

    MRI experience ( Terror)

I'm claustrophobic. I'll climb five flights of stairs before I'll take an elevator. I was very apprehensive before my first MRI. I took Xanax in advance and didn't have any problems. Luckily it was a big-bore short-magnet machine. The last four times I haven't needed any Xanax. I always ask for...

    Grandiose Spending

I stopped putting up a tree 20 years ago. I've never done house decorations. So paying someone to do that seems really silly to me.

    zenni Optical

My wife and I have probably bought 30 pair of progressives from Zenni. We like them more than the $300 glasses we used to get at the mall.
