    Thoughts on this portfolio

About 80% of this money is tax-deferred (solo 401k, IRA, Roth IRA). So as of right now 20% of this money is "taxable" and of course I'm looking to grow that pot. I have both a Roth and a regular IRA. Depends on the year whether I'm in Roth IRA land or regular IRA land. Thanks again.

    Thoughts on this portfolio

It's been a while since I've posted. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm looking to simplify my portfolio so that I can simply focus on growing my business. I would like a portfolio where I can just simply contribute money monthly and keep the rebalancing to a minimum. At this point I'm...

Help! SEP IRA was transferred into a Traditional IRA...bad?

I don't think they would've allowed: SEP IRA --> Traditional IRA Instead, I think they would have allowed: SEP IRA --> Rollover IRA And to answer your first question, no, she/her corporation can't contribute to the new account, because it is not a SEP. She has to open up another SEP. If...

Did the Pentagon FCU drop its rates?

I remember that they were competitive for a while. Now their MM "Certificates" (I'm assuming that's their name for a CD) are around 4.25% for 12-months... What gives?

    Am I playing with fire?

The solo 401k allows you to contribute $15,000, no matter what, plus 20% (as a sole proprietor, some corporation set-ups allow 25%) up to $44,000. The SEP allows for 20 or 25% (same rules) up to $44,000, period. So if you made $50,000. Solo: $15,000 + (20% of $35,000) = $22,000, leaving you...

So my sister and her husband bought a timeshare (yes, one of those that did so after a presentation - I warned them...) about 2 years ago.
