2 years of real estate taxes?

In another discussion, someone mentioned that they bunch 13 mortgage payments and 2 years of real estate taxes in a single year. As I am already doing the former, I would like to know more about the latter. I guess the biggest question is are you paying late and delaying paying year 1's tax...

    Milestone Twofer

Well I just checked and it's confirmed, I have a double milestone this month. First, NW broke $200k. I think the more important one though is that our pure retirement accounts broke $100k! They are about a 50/50 split between Roth and Traditional funds. I'm very glad we were able to...

    Retirement vehicles and tax brackets

Does the tax bracket you'll be paying in have any impact on whether to stock your money in Roth or Traditional IRA accounts. I'll be able to start using a 401k next year (first check), so you can weigh in on the best options when that is considered too. Info: I make 60k, she makes 38k - both...

    Roths and E-Fund

What do you guys think about this plan? I want to develop a plan to both set up an emergency fund and fund Roth IRAs for my wife and I. Is there a flaw putting so much aside per paycheck (about 400 when paid biweekly) such that it will exceed the Roth limits and slowly funneling money from the...

    Jobs - Downs and Ups

History: (I wasn't on this forum yet) I was informed yesterday that my job was being sent overseas as of 6/1. I have a job until then and get a severance package and they will pay out my PTO. We are not going to let this mess up my wedding plans for 5/31. I have four months to find my next job...

    Just got pointed this way

Hey everyone, I just got pointed here from another forum and can't wait to see what wealth of information I dig up on here. My strongest advantage is that if I want to retire at age 50, I have 26 years to make it happen!
