Sure got rid of all my Global/International stock in January. That is my punishment for doing something. It was the first time in 40 plus years I moved stocks around etc..

About 20% of my portfolio is international (VXUS). I had seriously been considering slowly getting rid of it. It has been a dog for a long time. This year it finally showed up. I guess that is why I kept it. A diversified portfolio means you always have winners and losers.

From memory, I reduced Int'l from 20% to 10%. It wasn't an all-at-once decision, though. I was consolidating accounts and just didn't have the conviction to put the money back into int'l. That 10% went towards growth (SCHG) which was a new asset class for me.

The current push for int'l could be temporary. I dunno, but I'll not let things disappoint or thrill me too much.

4/1/25...NW YTD is +5.6%. Subtract income, closer to +1.5%. Good income qtr, for sure.

A couple of single stocks helped with the returns. T&EXC...
6/1/25...NW YTD is +7.16% including income. CEG made a nice comeback for us. Decent interest income from CD's and Treasuries.

Ha....years ago I had I think like 20% international then it whittled down to like 10% a few years ago. I got so sick of looking at it and it dragging the portfolio down ( ESP emerging markets) that last year I liquidated it all. Bad move, but whatever.

I am one good day away from my all time high of December 4, 2024

I just checked my numbers, and despite what I thought the other day, everything had actually been updated. So, here's the latest:

1/31/2025: +2.75% YTD.
2/28/2025: +0.89% YTD.
3/31/2025: -3.96% YTD.
4/30/2025: -4.12% YTD.
5/31/25: +0.03% YTD.

May was mostly an upward month. I finally broke into positive YTD territory, barely, on May 15 and peaked on 5/19, up about 0.80%. I was back to -1.49% on 5/23, so to at least be able to finish (barely) in the black, was a nice surprise.

My PMs are up almost 20% for the year. Can't believe it. They more than make up for my RMD (already taken). Heh, heh, not counting on PMs recent run up to last, but right now they're a nice balance to some other things not doing so well.

YTD + 3.08% May + 4.06%

Fidelity reports we have 63/28/9 allocation. Nine percent cash and 22% international allocation. The 9% cash developed towards the end of may. Plan to use cash later this summer
