I figure since I already have 3 big trips on the books for 2026.... Maybe others want to join in

Mid March: fly to Fiji to visit a friend posted there (state dept) then 2 weeks in New Zealand, then returning by a transpacific cruise to LA.

June: Alaska land tour and cruise .

Oct: OAT trip to Jordan and Egypt.

I'm sure other trips will also happen. But that's what's in the books so far.

Big motivation is DHs cancer scare this past year (all clear now) made us realize it's time to throw caution to the wind and travel while we can.

Xmas ‘25 to early Jan ‘26 in Miami and South Florida. Attending the NHL Winter Classic (outdoors) at Marlins Park in Miami on January 2nd.

Viking Cruise- Budapest to Bucharest in April. Hope to find some family roots in Hungary.

Booked a points/miles flight to London for mid-May 2026 from SEA to LHR non-stop. Thinking about a walking trip through Tuscany and a tour of Sicily and maybe a week in Malta.

Planning a driving tour of the southwest starting in Albuquerque the circling north to Mesa Verde and west to Arches, Zion, Gallup and back to Albuquerque (aslo places inbetween). This will be my 4th (and shortest) trip. My first was a month long living out of my VW bus in 197? touring all the National Parks and more destinations in NM, CO, UT, and AZ.
Also looking into a second self-guided Iceland trip
And a river cruise in Europe.
It won't be all 3. I have to chose the best option during shoulder season for the time slot we plan unless they can be planned for both spring and fall.

I've made a small deposit on yet another trans Atlantic. It was so far off, my wife couldn't come up with excuses not to go, LOL! But she did specify lay flat on the flight, but booking that is a long way off.

Nope. I have travel planned for 2027 even though I can't book it yet!

March, 2026: South America including Patagonia, Chilean fjords and Easter Island.
October, 2026: Greece, Crete, Albania an Macedonia. That was supposed to be THIS October but I'm getting heart valve replacement surgery in a few months and, God willing, it will leave me in even better shape for my travels.
November, 2026: South India, but I booked that before I moved the Greece trip. When the tour company (Overseas Adventure Travel) opens up 2027 bookings that will be moved to March, 2027.

Annual ski trip with my son to Aspen Snowmass in February.

As mentioned in another thread, I have some cruises booked for 2026. April will be a 16-day TransAtlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Southampton, UK. I will return home on April 22nd. Then in late May, I return to Southampton to catch the same ship for 3 back-to-back cruises of 2 days, 7 days, and 5 days. The ship goes into dry dock after the TransAtlantic. When I return to board again, it will be fresh out of the dry dock. So I'll get to see the "before" and "after" condition of the ship.

I'm sure several other trips will unfold for the rest of the year, but I haven't started working on that yet with so much planning for these yet to do.

Well nothing is reserved yet, but with the DW hanging it up by Dec and joining the check of the month club, we will be loading the toy hauler and heading west. See what we can manage to do with just $7500/month.

Dec 25 to early Jan 26 we will be enjoying a two week dive trip to Bonaire over Xmas and New years.

Feb is a two week cruise to Southern Caribbean/Central America.

April/May is our annual 5 to 6 week dive trip to Bonaire. Just waiting on airline availability so we can firm up the dates.

Sep is two week cruise departing from South Hampton visiting the UK, Iceland and Norway.

More to come as opportunities arise.

The thing about small ship/small group travel to neat places is just that, small amount of people can go. We have 2 trips booked already because of FOMO.

Agree, not too early, even though I’m still deep in planning trips for 2025!

Added a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan in early February. Except for Barbados we haven't been to any of the islands we'll visit. Flying in early to explore San Juan and booked an AirBnB on St. Thomas for the week after the cruise. Unlike our recent Greek Islands cruise, the water should be warm and there should be things to do other than shop at each of the ports. It's a mass market cruise line but we're booked into the "ship within a ship" category so we'll have access to all of the ship's amenities and activities but will have a relatively private area to retreat to if we want. We're at 48 north so this should be a nice winter getaway!

We still have a lot of travel left in 2025! Haven't even started thinking about 2026 :)

Oct: OAT trip to Jordan and Egypt.

Egypt is currently at US State Dept level 3 ("reconsider travel") where 4 ("do not travel") is the highest. You're probably already aware, but in case you weren't. Among other things, I've noticed some travel medical insurance and also evac insurance (eg MedJet) specifically exclude anything on L3 or L4. That said, Egypt is AMAZING!

Oddly I'm dialing it back a bit for 2026. Not sure why maybe its just that travel is a bit tiring. This year will be away 103 days.

My plans are:
> February 6th - Singapore. Then boarding Diamond Princess for the Southeast Asia
> August - Sapphire Princess Baltics Cruise
> August - Sapphire Princess Trans-Atlantic
> October fly to Montreal for a land based trip

Still looking for 1 more

For 2026, I plan on visiting old friends and family that are spread out all over the U.S. I will be going on 83 then and plan to drive (alone) pretty much in a big circle around the U.S. starting in Texas, heading west to CA, then OR, then WI, then CT, then NYC, then PA, then NC, then MO and finally back to Texas. This may be my last time seeing these folks for me. I figure a month to do this or maybe I'll bust it up into two trips.

I know we can do face-time, and I do that once in a while, but nothing is better than being with them in person for a few days.

I booked a R/T on ANA from Tokyo to CDMX and given that I’m based in NY (and Europe), I’ll do two Japan trips, this and next year. Mostly because of the World Expo and Setouchi Triennale.

Walking the Nakasendo Trail (Japan) over 7 days in April. Tour around Namibia in August. Haven't figured out the fall/early winter yet.

We visited Egypt and Jordan on separate small group tours in November and had a great time and most importantly felt very safe. A big plus for us is that tourism is way down in both countries. We had 6 people on our Egypt trip and DW and I were the only 2 on the Jordan tour. Had Petra practically to ourselves.

I'd monitor the situation carefully and if OAT says it's safe I'd probably take the risk. YMMV.

Google AI says:

Egypt has been at a Level 3 (Reconsider Travel) advisory since 2020, specifically due to the risk of terrorism. This advisory level has remained consistent despite some updates to the travel advisory information, including the most recent one in October 2024. The advisory specifically highlights the Sinai Peninsula, Western Desert, and border areas as higher-risk zones.
