401k administrative fees

A 2009 study by Deloitte and the Investment Company Institute found the median admin fee to be 0.72% of assets annually."

If a 401k has such a fee, will it appear as a line item on the account statement, or is it typically (hidden) in some other document?

It is not hidden anymore if you pay it, but it is not in the account statement. There is that new "here are the fees you pay" disclosure where it will be.
