Just thinking of the most prolific and profound statement/lesson that I ever received. When I was 10 or so, the nun spent a long time in explaining a simple concept that guided my life ever since. At 74, it may sound obvious; but back then it was delivered and became a most influential and integral concept to my development.
"too much of anything is no good" I reflect on this simple phrase so very often. Care to share your special "mantra"?

"Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels."

A weight loss mantra from Weight Watchers when I was 30. Now that I have spent the last several years at last getting to my ideal weight after years of struggling post-menopause, this mantra really helps when I need it. It's true.

if you can solve a problem with money then it's not a problem but an expense.

and the fan favorites:

"Never get involved in a land war in Asia."

"Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"

On finance:
You can't borrow yourself to prosperity.

In general:
Fast, Low cost, High quality - pick any two.

my father said " do what you said you were going to do"
He also liked to quote Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 3 in part,
"to thine own self be true"
They really have the same intent, because the full Hamlet line is
"This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any (person)"

Most problems are just money problems. If you have enough money, you don't have problems
Me, I guess. I've never heard anybody else use it.

There is no dignity quite so impressive, and no one independence quite so important, as living within your means. Calvin Coolidge

Doesn't apply to everything, but when it comes to preparing for a road trip in a vintage vehicle I like "It's better to have something and not need it than need something and not have it".

Flyfish1 Like the old Boy Scout motto: "Be Prepared."

That's what made me decide to get the pacemaker/defibrillator. Six yrs this month and it's never fired on me but I like knowing it's there

The Golden Rule -- across multiple religions:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I have lived by this. Even when it is has been difficult at times with folks who do not care for you, or who misunderstand or mistreat you, or who are unfair, or adversarial, or cheat, or otherwise make this rule difficult. It's always worth it.
