ACA Softball Question

Late Friday afternoon softball question --- I want to stay under 400% of poverty level for two people ($81,760) in 2025 for ACA purposes. My combination of cap gains and income puts me at $84,000 but that will be reduced by my HSA contribution of $9,550 bring the MAGI number to $74,450. It’s been along day and resources say I’m right but just looking for confirmation. Thanks.

Yes. But 400% FPL is not a key barrier as there is no ACA cliff next year, same as the past few years. Might return in 2026 but it's not a cliff to worry about now.

Yes. HSA contributions are one of (very few) ways to decrease ACA MAGI.
