Glad you both took the risk on your local party. Good sign that you read her well enough to be comfortable asking, and that she's been able to emerge enough to do something different :). Meeting the family is a powerful sign of her healing and what she thinks of you, and confidence in her family's assessment of you as well.(y)(y):)

The comment about being a teen again struck a chord. I mentioned that idea to a lady I recently met and think it's a good approach to maximizing the fun while not making the drama and pain we've all experienced the dominant feature of our lives.

Yes, the family will all be there for Christmas and it should be about 20 people including grandkids. Kind of overwhelming. But I think they know a lot about me already since I have been seeing her for a while.

It may seem or feel overwhelming but remember, they love their Mom and want to see her happy, and you make her happy, so they already want to like you.

Hope all went well aja meeting her family which I would think it would. Keep the updates coming. I enjoy reading good things like this.

The day went well. We had a great time and a lot to talk about. One of her daughters lives in Massachusetts and her husband and I got a long great as he spent a good bit of time in Connecticut in the areas where I lived while in that state. I'm invited for Christmas dinner tomorrow too. :)

Things have been going very well, and we have really connected (and both our children and their families seem to be OK with us as a couple). She checks all the boxes for me and I guess I do for her too. So we will see what the future brings for us older folks playing the dating/romance game! :)
