Amelia Island

DH and I were thinking of spending a day (in Feb) at Amelia Island. It looks like the downtown area is quite nice. We like to walk everywhere, so probably would like to be near Center Street. Any suggestions about where to stay or other things to do... since we live by the beach, we do not necessarily need to be on the beach.

There are plenty of VRBO type places around Fernandina Beach. Great little downtown outstanding food in a nice beach area to the south. And there’s always the Ritz Carlton

We were there for the concourse de elegance car show last year. if you like cars, it’s very much worth the trip. We did not stay at the Ritz. As it cost more than my first car for one night
