Blow That Dough 2026

Fortunately pecan trees don’t require much care. DF’s huge old tree produced a large amount of high quality pecans most years with no maintenance.

Fruit trees I’m sure are another story.

You just bought a crapload of work. I have two 35yo dwarf apple trees in my back yard. In my climate, I have to spray after every rain/rainy period, otherwise I will have moldy fruit. I cannot miss a spray albeit organic as well. Every spring they must be pruned to keep the tree healthy and to allow proper growth and allow sunlight to reach the fruit to dry and ripen. Luckily, I can use the cuttings in my smoker.
I kind of realize that now! We will play it by the ears as they grow. I plan to keep them short to help with the care. I have headed all of them to 24"-30" height at planting. We can always remove some trees which are not good producers.

PS: I have already bought a battery operated backpack sprayer. Delivered yesterday.

LOL - so DW's cousin is having a milestone birthday and wants to go to Maui with DW's brothers and us. Started planning -- everyone covering their own expense. Then two days later DS calls and says he is taking 2nd 1/2 of his paternity leave in the summer when DGD is 8 months old and they were thinking about going to Maui (Dad and Mom help out on this one). So I guess two trips to Hawaii this year :)

Booked a 4 bedroom beach house for a week in Navarre Beach for us and son's family. Now just hope that our 2 oldest granddaughters want to come. At 17 and 12 they're difficult to spend time with us.
DW's sister and brother will also be in 2 separate houses nearby with their kids/grandkids so it'll be like a family reunion.
BTW this is a big BTD for me since I really don't like the beach.

Booked a Disney cruise for a family vacation: 10K. I think DD is little too old for a Disney cruise but she somehow loves this cruise line: Fond memories we made when DD was young.

We finally did it! Just over a year ago I did a mutual fund transfer to my checking account to buy a newer used truck. After looking and not finding one to pull the trigger on, at the end of the year I gifted about half of the tranfer to my son. Then this year just a few days over one year from the previous transfer, I did it again. Yesterday, we went through the major hassle of buying a used '24' Toyota SR5 truck from a dealer with 11,016 mile, signing a dozen papers not really knowing what they say. We did BTD! Now, I have to sell the 1997 T-100 that we bought in 2000. Of course, our original salesmen a younger guy, was just the start, we saw three more people and then they had to take our offer into "The Office" to get it OK'ed, We negotiated about 7% off the asking price, I don't know if they would have went lower, I think it helped that it was clear we had been looking for over a year and we drove 85 miles to the dealer, that it was now or never. Our original salesman, said he was surprised that we got the deal, FWIW, but we will always wonder, could we have got another $1,000 of? LOL

That thought you had a always my first thought when making a deal on a vehicle. I dislike auto shopping and sales more then anything.
I hope our BTD truck serves You well.

I can only wish the new truck lives as long as the 26 years we have owned the old T-100, if it does, I don't expect to be around, to help dispose of it.

I have to honor my wife’s car buying skills. She used ChatGPT to work two dealers and had a written out the door, all inclusive offer before entering the dealership. Yes, it took time but she got a screaming deal on a new 4 Runner that now sits in our garage. God lover for all the effort.

My wife's patient spider skills is how we bout a couple of our previous cars. We had a small business outdoor business and we saw every customer drive up. If my wife saw a car she was interested in she would say when you get ready to trade that in let me know. We bought a a Lexus for $4,000, drove it 11 years and then sold it for $2,900. That was probably our best deal ever. I gave the guy an extra key a week later and he was very happy with his purchase.

Not quite ready to hire a lawn care company and decided to buy an EGO self propelled mower. Pretty slick, worked as I had hoped.

Give details I’m shopping for the same rig. Expect to pull the trigger within 60 days!

Use ChatGPT to phase all your responses and ask for the OUT THE DOOR price in writing. She wanted a 4 Runner Limited in white or blue with the portobello interior. Each dealer had little extra accessory add ons so get a summary of the specific vehicle. She then pitted the two against each other, again using ChatGPT to phrase everything. They both went back and forth each trying to better the other. They both got pretty close and then one dropped it another $1000 and that is who she bought it from.

Wow!!!
Maybe we get a tour and Congratulations on the new home!!!
I’m very excited about the deep back patio with my outdoor kitchen.

Wow!!!
I also like that deep back patio. Very nice and classy looking. Thanks and wish You well with that new home.

Make a great effort to find alcohol free gasoline for your generator or lawn equipment for that matter. Alcohol will absorb water from the atmospere if left sitting to long, and alcohol will also break down any plastic or rubber orings/seals that will interfere with easy starts. Battery starters also have issues as most people don't do battery maintenance.
I think you mean ethanol-free gas rather than alcohol-free gas. But I agree... only ethanol-free gas in all our gas engines other than cars and trucks.

The best part is shade all summer.
Yes!! If I may ask, you have two doors entering the patio. I take one door exists from a sitting room and the other exists the kitchen. Looks like a very interesting layout.
Thanks and your big Day!

The door on the left is to the master bedroom. The door on the right is to the dining room part of the kitchen. The windows in between and set farther back are the living room area. The kitchen, dining area and living room area are all a large open space.
