Why all the dislikes and bad comments for this video?

The dislikes etc have nothing to with the video itself I believe. I'm pretty sure they're fans of the internet guy known as "pewdiepie" that the network (and others) have reported about recently getting him canned from some of his deals based on stuff he posted online. Many say the 'negative" things he said/did on the videos was satire but was reported as his personal opinions and are not happy with the backlash he's received as a result.

The sound was terrible for me, lots of static.

It sounded fine to me, probably something along the lines between you and the server. I've had that happen with some youtube videos, first time is terrible, go back later and all is well.
