So, I would like to get a simple security system or device for a remote area. Cell service is iffy and have no utility power there.

Does anyone have any product they have used an what would you recommend. I do have one solar light that I have set up if some walks into the old shop at night the light comes on. I also have a few signs up CAMERA'S IN USE.

Cameras, lights, alarms or any product out there if someone has some knowledge or experience with a product that may fit my situation.

Thanks

Lots of constraints, Street. No power, internet, cell service makes it hard for sure.

Maybe battery powered device with notification sent to satellite (?) For fun I tried to make AI come up with something, but no luck.

Lights and obvious old, broken critter cams seems like your best deterrent.

Yep, thanks!!!
Solar movement alarm and lights maybe what I need to do.

to me, your "cell service is iffy" means
That is how I would pursue it.
You can get all in one game cams with a subscription and a radio and antenna. This is by far the simple and cost effective solution if you can situate the antenna and get good coverage.
there are dozens of 4G solar game cams out there.
This is just an example.

I knew of them and that might be how I go. Thank You skyking!

My question would be what sort of response to you anticipate having if you were able to have a functioning system given the distance between the remote area and services that serve the area? Or is if for another reason.

Why I ask? My sister's home was burgled twice. Once after she had a monitored alarm installed. The issue was the 15 minute or so difference between when the alarm went off and when the home was responded to on site. The intruder(s) were gone a long time in the interval.

At the time, the police officer's best advice as simple a very loud alarm and/or a dog!

the motion lights plus even a dummy camera are cheap and do have an effect. I have those cheap cams and have had two people walk through the property since putting them up.
Both of them looked to be doing nothing more than an exercise walk.
They both looked at the light and camera and looked surprised. Perhaps they were either ignorant of the private property or just kidding themselves.
Neither one came back that way or ever set foot near the cameras again. I'll take that win every time.
With my setup, I get a real time notification on my phone and I can turn on an alarm, talk out of a speaker, all right in the app.
99.9% of the time it is nature tripping the cameras and I love that.

Bear trap. ;)

Otherwise, the simpli-safe alarm system, can use wifi or cellular.

Wyze and eufy camera's use wifi, and no subscription required to be notified of motion and constantly record.

Maybe you could use a cellular system if you used a cell booster with antenna to get better reception.

Last choice is what I do with remote cabin, leave nothing valuable as it will be stolen one day.

Depends on whether you just want to record, or you want real-time reporting.

When camping, I use a Visible phone as a hotspot, about $30 a month. If the signal is poor, I also have a cell booster (BoostBars, $100 from Amazon) and put its antenna on a 24-foot painter's pole (Home Depot, about $30) but you could mount it on your roof or other structure. If you don't have commecial power, you'll need some kind of entry-level solar panel and "solar generator" battery/inverter.

I just bought this to watch our driveway. Solar powered so now AC power required and you can store activationsbon a micro SD card or send them to the cloud. The OP's problem is getting notification of activations.

Some great advise and products to consider. Thank You all.

I have been searching an alarm/siren/light that comes on with motion and is powered by solar. Any ideas or product info would be appreciated. Not finding much but they have to make something that would fit my need. Solar panel outside and wire attached to light/siren for inside of cabin with motion detector inside when the door opens etc.

They have to make all kinds of them you would think.

Don't overlook Starlink. The mini is on sale now for $229. Starlink has a $5/month plan that gives you minimal service but I've heard it's enough for phone calls and even camera usage. That + something like Wyze cameras might work.
